My friend still in love with her ex..

My bff broke up with her boyfriend last year. WELL, right before school started they broke up. The other day i was gettin a piece of paper out of her notebook and there was a piece of paper and it said "fourteen" +(the name of the guy she broke up with). Now, me and this guy are real close friends, should i talk to him about this? I haven't told her i saw it yet..
